Job Description Portico is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to support a large national client in delivering an exceptional front‑of‑house customer experience strategy. This part‑time role involves designing and implementing training programs for over 150 team members, ensuring consistent and high‑quality service delivery across all locations aligned with our client goals and brand standards. The L&D Manager will design and deliver a variety of training sessions through in‑person workshops, virtual platforms and on‑the‑job coaching, monitor and evaluate training outcomes, provide feedback and continuous improvement recommendations, support the onboarding process for new team members, maintain training documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will also collaborate with the central Portico L&D team to assess training needs and measure program effectiveness, be open to regional travel as required, and have the autonomy to work remotely when possible. Hours: 24 hours per week across 3 days, with flexible scheduling based on project needs.
Qualifications • Proven experience in L&D management, preferably in the customer service or hospitality sectors, giving a solid understanding of front‑of‑house operations and customer experience strategies. • Experience with e‑learning platforms and instructional design tools is desirable. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and a strong ability to build working relationships with colleagues. • Ability to manage multiple training initiatives and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
