Portico has begun the search for a Hospitality Host to join our small team based at a Law Firm within close proximity to Chancery Lane station. The friendly welcome from our Reception and Hospitality team sets the first impression guests and visitors have of our client’s business, along with the service they receive whilst in the office. The Hospitality Host role includes the delivery and operation of onsite hospitality, catering, meeting room setup, and IT troubleshooting service.
The main responsibilities of the successful Hospitality Host are to:
- Provide a friendly and efficient hospitality service at the firm’s offices.
- Book meeting rooms and set them up for each individual meeting.
- Host during the meetings, ensuring that all equipment is in working order, and provide high‑end food and beverage service to the client’s staff and visitors.
- Cover reception duties and manage back‑of‑house tasks such as keeping the pantry clean and operating cloakroom services.
- Maintain overall cleanliness, organize furniture and partitions for meet‑ups and events.
Qualifications:
- Previous catering experience, preferably within a high‑end corporate environment.
- Hardworking with a passion for customer service.
- Professional appearance and clear communication skills face‑to‑face and over the telephone.
- Physical stamina for manual handling and heavy lifting, moving furniture and partitions during room set‑up.
Additional Information:
- Hours: 40 hours per week, shifts usually between 7 am and 7 pm from Monday to Friday. Flexibility required for hosting events in the evenings.
- Salary: £32,000 per annum.
