Portico is currently recruiting for a Conference Services and Events Manager to oversee our team based at an American multinational investment bank and financial services company located in the City. This location is a flagship for Portico! The team takes pride in being the service partner chosen to deliver intuitive service, with careful planning and faultless standards. They have a flexible, can-do approach and relish the opportunity to keep raising the bar, exceeding expectations at every turn.
The main duties of the successful candidate will involve managing high volumes of reservations and planning events. They will oversee all aspects of the Events & Conference Services operation, facilitate day-to-day supervision of our highly engaged team, and ensure continuous improvement of standards while motivating team members and supporting their skill development. The candidate will also need to maintain excellent client relationships, growing the relationship with the client and bank staff to ensure we consistently exceed expectations.
Shift pattern: 40 hours per week, from Mon-Fri
Salary: £50,000
Qualifications: The successful candidate must have proven experience in a similar role within a high-end corporate or hotel environment. They should be open-minded, strategic, and capable of delivering consistent results under pressure in a dynamic and evolving business environment. High attention to detail and knowledge of service excellence are essential, along with pride in delivering exceptional service. Excellent administrative skills are required to collate and report statistics. Experience with audiovisual equipment and hospitality services is desirable.
