Portico have begun the search for a Hospitality Host to join our small team based within a client floor operation in Edinburgh. The friendly welcome from our Reception and Hospitality team sets the first impressions guests and visitors have of our client’s business, along with the service they receive whilst in the office. So, the role of the Hospitality Host is not just the meet and greet on reception. It includes the delivery and operation of the onsite hospitality, catering, meeting room setup, and IT troubleshooting service.
The main purpose of the successful Hospitality Host will be to provide a friendly and efficient hospitality service at the firm’s offices. They will book the meeting rooms, setting them up for each individual meeting, and host during the meetings themselves, ensuring that all equipment in the room is in working order, whilst providing a high-end food and beverage service to the client’s staff and their visitors.
As well as the hospitality and hosting services to the meeting rooms, the successful Hospitality Host will cover reception and ensure that all relative back of house duties are managed appropriately, such as keeping the pantry clean and operating the cloakroom services.
Hours: 40 hours per week, with shifts from 7:30am-4:30pm or 10am-7pm, Mon-Fri.
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Please note that this is a very physically demanding role, that requires the successful candidate to be happy with manual handling and heavy lifting, as they move furniture and partitions around in the setup of the rooms.
Qualifications: The successful Hospitality Host will have previous catering experience, preferably within a high-end corporate environment. They will be hardworking, proactive, with a passion for customer service. They will also maintain a professional appearance and possess the ability to communicate clearly both face to face and over the telephone.
