About the role

We are now looking to recruit a member of staff to drive the minibus. The Minibus Driver will be expected to cover a number of homes within each minibus region. When not driving the minibus, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake other Activities and Wellbeing tasks. The role of driving will be to cover visits, trips and outings along with checking the bus daily and reporting any issues or changes that may affect the minibus' roadworthiness. Along with the Passenger Carer, the Minibus Driver will be responsible for the care, comfort and safety of passengers and expected to provide a high level of customer service at all times. We will provide MiDAS Accessible training and other specialist training such as vehicle evacuation. The minibus reflects the Company's positive image and the driver will be responsible for keeping the minibus clean and valeted to a high standard.

About you

Cheerful and outgoing, the ideal candidate will be respectful and courteous with a genuine enthusiasm for the people we support. You will have experience of driving a minibus or similar sized vehicle and have excellent customer service skills. Due to insurance restrictions, you must be over 21 years of age and have held a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years with no accidents, claims or motoring convictions from the last 5 years. Successful appointments are subject to satisfactory references, DVLA check and a DBS check, and candidates must be authorised to work in the UK.
