Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Bedfordshire based client to recruit for a Senior Demand and Inventory Planning Supervisor.
Primary responsibility of the role:
- To manage both a team and the process of the Demand and Inventory planning forecast, ensuring uninterrupted supply to customers.
Day to day duties:
- Implement systems and procedures to ensure that demand plans are updated, and the integrity of the demand plan is maintained.
- Working with key stakeholders to create accurate demand planning forecasts.
- Providing key demand analysis.
- Validating purchasing plans and progressing through to placement of orders.
- Identifying potential stock shortages and taking corrective action.
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Management of a team of 3.
Experience and Qualifications required:
- Educated to A level or equivalent.
- At least 5 years demand planning experience with long lead time goods.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Team management experience.
- Strong computer skills including Excel.
- Experience using an ERP system.
