Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Lancashire based client to recruit for a Senior Buyer.

Main Duties:
Lead the procurement of goods and materials to ensure sufficient stock holding is maintained
Manage new and existing supplier relationships
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing
Identify, quantify and onboarding of new suppliers
Work closely with internal teams to turn demand plans into purchasing priorities
Manage the end-to-end process of purchasing
Manage develop and mentor a small team
Experience and Skills required:
Previous experience of at least Senior Buyer/Category Manager level
Commercially astute and aware
Previous experience mentoring a team
Good IT, literacy, and numerical and analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
