Portfolio Procurement has been engaged to recruit an Indirect Buyer. The role involves responsibility for the Purchasing and control of Indirect services with a particular bias on the Capex category.
Main responsibilities:
- Purchasing of indirect goods and services, including the negotiation of current and expiring contracts.
- Monitoring of market and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Negotiate improved contracts and terms and conditions.
- Explore alternative sources for indirect goods.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications:
- Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities.
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
- Proven track record of procurement achievement within the indirect sector.
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
- Contract management and supplier experience, commercially and financially aware with a strong commercial procurement background.
- Computer literate, to include Microsoft Office suite.
- Functional procurement experience managing indirect supply including Capex.
- Knowledge and experience of best practice category management, sourcing, contract management and supplier performance management practices.
- Expected to travel both UK and internationally; a clean driving licence and passport are essential.
