The Role:
As the Head of Procurement, you will be managing all procurement activities within my client. You will play a key role in optimising costs and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services and be at the forefront of building and maintaining supplier relationships.
Responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Procurement
- Developing and improving the company's procurement strategy
- Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers
- Ensuring a seamless supply chain
- Forecasting and managing demand and inventory
- Leadership of a team
- Establish and monitor key KPI's
To be successful in this role you must be/have:
- Results driven and cost focussed
- A leader who can offer good direction and lead from the front and by example
- Experience working with Global Suppliers, this will include both face to face meetings and over the phone
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Be able and prepared to travel internationally
Experience and Skills:
- Extensive Purchasing and Supply Chain experience ideally from an Electronics background
- Team management experience
- Strong IT Skills
- Experience/knowledge of overseas CEM's
- Ideally MCIPS qualified or a relevant degree
