You\’ll be the go-to payroll expert, managing the UK payroll from start to finish, working closely with an outsourced provider, and fielding queries from some seriously smart (and very inquisitive) employees. 💼 The Role: As the Sole Payroll Specialist, you\’ll take ownership of the entire UK payroll process, ensuring our people are paid accurately, on time, and with clarity. This is a hybrid role – part operational, part advisory – ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-performing environment and loves a blend of autonomy and collaboration. Your key responsibilities will include Acting as the first point of contact for all payroll-related queries across the business – from new joiners to long-serving quants. Managing and maintaining the relationship with our outsourced payroll provider – you\’ll be the bridge between internal teams and external processing Owning all data collation, validation, and submission activities for monthly UK payroll (circa 400+ employees). Working closely with HR, Finance, and Benefits to ensure seamless integration across systems and processes Managing statutory reporting, pension contributions, P11Ds, and year-end activities with precision. Spotting opportunities to streamline and improve – because payroll should never just be \”done\”, it should be smartly done. 🧠 What You\’ll Bring: Proven experience in managing end-to-end UK payroll, ideally in a sole or lead capacity Confidence working with an outsourced provider – you know how to manage expectations, timelines, and quality control.
