Portfolio Payrolls are currently working with an accountancy practice in the Harrogate area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join their small team of one other. They provide an excellent working environment, are a flexible working business and other great benefits and incentives! Key Duties/Tasks: Technical skills including Payroll System experience & excel skills Working on client payroll as part of a bureau Driving deadlines and check payroll of the more junior team member Support the busy payroll department high volume starters and leavers Experience dealing with multiple payrolls of varying shift patterns Must have very strong Excel (VLookUps/Pivot Tables) High volume, fast paced Provide comprehensive advice to employees in relation to payroll queries Ensuring all necessary payments are made within the deadlines set, for example Reconciliations. Opportunity to get involved with significant payroll projects Manual calculations Desirable skills and attributes: 3+ years payroll experience ideally Previous payroll experience in a fast paced and high-volume environment in industries such as recruitment payroll Bureau/umbrella payroll experience ideally A keen eye for detail Enjoy working within a team Motivated to progress in management Supervisory experience advantageous Excellent communicator as you will be answering queries Confident with Excel CIPP advantageous not essential Benefits Employer matched pension parking on-site Up to 28 days paid holiday each year Hybrid working (negotiable) Flexible working Great incentives Normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week, 9:00am to 5.30pm with 1-hour unpaid break.
