Our client is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Analyst to join their team in Manchester. You will be part of a newly formed cross-functional engineering team with a strong growth mindset. They follow agile methodologies that prioritize their people. This role is unique as the successful candidate will be a founding member of the department, helping to foster and grow a positive culture. DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test applications on web and mobile devices to the highest standards.
- Maintain and improve testing practices.
- Establish clearly defined testing scope.
- Investigate production issues to identify root causes.
- Ensure acceptance criteria are met, or de-scoped with acceptable results.
- Approve high-quality releases for deployment.
- Collaborate with product team members to identify and describe defects.
- Update and maintain test packs, tooling, and methods.
- Support Business Analysts in elaborating requirements with developers.
- Take responsibility for non-functional testing.
- Write executable acceptance criteria for features.
- Measure coverage of functional and non-functional testing.
- Deliver proposed plans confidently.
- Proactively suggest system improvements, new tools, or methods.
- Work closely with stakeholders to recommend technological solutions.
- Manage personal training requirements.
- Provide estimates appropriate for the development phase.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- At least 2 years of Quality Assurance experience.
- Understanding of quality principles and ability to deliver.
- Knowledge of pipelines, Continuous Deployment, and Integration.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and problem-solve.
