Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Self-Employed Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of residential window and door installations. The role will focus primarily on aluminium and uPVC products including windows, entrance doors, sliding doors, French doors, and bifold systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of the fenestration industry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to accurately survey domestic properties for manufacture and installation. Experience with heritage-style products, steel-look systems, and commercial glazing projects would be advantageous but is not essential. This position would suit a professional, organised individual who can work independently while maintaining high standards of customer service and technical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed site surveys for residential window and door replacement projects.
- Measure and assess aluminium and uPVC windows, doors, bifolds, sliding doors, and associated glazing systems.
- Identify and record site-specific requirements including structural considerations, access issues, and installation challenges.
- Ensure all survey information is accurate and ready for manufacturing and installation teams.
- Liaise with installers, sales teams, and project coordinators to resolve technical queries.
- Advise on suitable product specifications and installation requirements where necessary.
- Conduct final checks to ensure products ordered are fit for purpose and compliant with current building regulations.
- Maintain professional communication with homeowners, contractors, and site contacts throughout the process.
