The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established manufacturer within the fenestration industry, supplying high-quality uPVC and aluminium windows and doors to the commercial, trade, new build, social housing and education sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Estimator & Order Processor to join their busy Commercial Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, customer service and technical knowledge are key.

The Role

As a Commercial Estimator & Order Processor, you will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations, processing commercial orders and supporting customers throughout the order lifecycle. Working closely with internal departments, suppliers and customers, you will ensure orders are processed efficiently, accurately and to the highest standard while providing first-class customer service throughout each project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate commercial quotations and process customer orders using industry estimating software.
  • Produce detailed specifications from architectural drawings and customer information.
  • Interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
  • Maintain frame schedules and project information.
  • Process bespoke products, including special colours, finishes and non-standard items.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Provide technical product support and guidance where required.
  • Ensure orders comply with current Building Regulations and industry standards.
  • Produce manufacturing documentation and material requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy, organisation and customer service.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within the window, door or fenestration industry.
  • Experience estimating and processing commercial window and door orders.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
  • A good understanding of Building Regulations relating to windows and doors.
  • Experience using industry estimating or processing software such as Window Designer, Business Micros, Evolution, LogiKal or similar.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to prioritise a busy workload whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
