The Role
Our client is a well-established construction company currently delivering a mixed-use development comprising residential apartments and commercial units in Welling. With a strong pipeline of current and future projects, they offer long-term job security and excellent opportunities for career progression within a professional and supportive environment.
They are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day site activities from construction through to completion.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Lead and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor progress against programme and budget targets.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and equipment requirements.
- Carry out regular site inspections and resolve technical or workmanship issues.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, permits, and daily diaries.
- Manage snagging and defect rectification through to completion.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and senior management.
- Assist with project handover and close-out documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, facades and façade remediation projects and health & safety legislation.
- Experience managing subcontractors, site programmes, and material procurement.
- SMSTS qualification (essential).
- CSCS Card (essential).
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
