Broadband Installation Engineer – City Fibre Network
Hertfordshire | Self-Employed (CIS) | Paid Per Install | £35,000 - £60,000 Per Year
Areas Covered: St Albans (AL) and Hemel Hempstead (HP) postcodes only
We are recruiting Broadband Installation Engineers & FTTP engineers for a supported route onto the City Fibre network, offering candidates long-term fibre installation work following training and assessment.
The Role
- Installing fibre broadband in customer homes
- Working at heights (15 Metres) and within underground networks
- Fibre splicing, testing, and fault-finding
- Working independently and to KPIs
- Following Health & Safety procedures at all times
Who Should Apply
- Engineers with previous telecoms, fibre, or broadband installation experience
- Engineers returning to telecoms who may need refresher training or updated accreditations
- Candidates with experience on the CityFibre or Alternative networks
- Safety-conscious individuals who follow procedures and standards
- People comfortable working outdoors year-round
- Candidates confident using smartphones or handheld devices to follow job instructions
- Reliable, organised problem-solvers
- Full UK manual driving licence (held for at least 12 months, maximum 6 points)
