Senior Project Manager / Director
Our client is a leading specialist in commercial glazing, curtain walling and façade solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Director with a strong background in façade systems, rainscreen cladding, curtain walling and aluminium windows and doors. Working on commercial projects valued from £500,000 to £5 million, you will lead delivery from pre-construction through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
The role calls for a commercially aware project professional who can manage both the operational and contractual aspects of project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage façade projects throughout the full lifecycle, from handover to final completion.
- Oversee installation of façades, curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, and window and door systems.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives.
- Monitor programmes and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Manage budgets, variations, valuations and cost control.
- Meet contractual obligations and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Build relationships with clients, consultants and principal contractors.
- Visit sites regularly to monitor progress, quality and health and safety compliance.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports.
- Resolve technical and operational challenges efficiently.
- Deliver high quality projects while maintaining profitability.
Experience and qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within the façade industry.
- A strong background delivering façade systems, curtain walling, cladding, and window and door projects.
- Commercial understanding of contracts, cost management, variations and notices.
- Experience managing commercial construction or façade projects valued up to £4 million.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of construction health and safety regulations.
- Relevant construction or project management experience and qualifications, including SMSTS and CSCS.
- Full UK driving licence.
