A long-established and highly regarded windows and doors business in South Manchester is seeking an experienced Installations & Operations Manager to support continued growth and increasing demand. This is a pivotal operational role responsible for overseeing both site-based and office operations. The position would suit a highly organised and confident manager with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach. While the role is heavily focused on installations and operational delivery, the successful candidate will also require strong commercial awareness, IT proficiency, communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple departments effectively.
The Role:
- Oversee day-to-day installation and operational activities across the business
- Manage approximately 9 installation teams and coordinate workloads efficiently
- Supervise and support a team of 5 office-based staff
- Ensure installations are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to a high standard
- Manage operational processes, scheduling, and workflow coordination
- Act as a key link between office departments, installation teams, suppliers, and senior management
- Monitor installation performance, customer satisfaction, and remedial works
- Support finance and commercial activities connected to operational delivery
- Assist in improving systems, processes, and overall operational efficiency
- Maintain strong communication across all departments to ensure smooth project delivery
- Provide structure, leadership, and direction within a busy and fast-paced environment
