We are seeking an experienced Building Façade Surveyor to join our growing technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying, inspecting, assessing and reporting on a wide range of building envelope and façade systems across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and public sector projects. This role is ideal for an individual with strong technical knowledge of architectural glazing, curtain walling, cladding systems, aluminium windows and doors, façade maintenance, defect diagnosis and remedial solutions. The position will involve site inspections, condition surveys, technical reporting, client liaison and supporting refurbishment, maintenance and compliance projects throughout the Midlands and South West regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed façade and glazing condition surveys.
  • Inspect curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, aluminium window systems, doors and associated façade elements.
  • Identify defects, water ingress issues, structural concerns, installation failures and maintenance requirements.
  • Produce comprehensive survey reports with photographic evidence and recommendations.
  • Assess existing building envelope systems and provide practical remedial solutions.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Support façade refurbishment and replacement projects from survey through to completion.
  • Undertake high-level inspections using MEWPs, rope access contractors or specialist access systems where required.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications and as-built documentation.
  • Assist with façade compliance assessments and building safety requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, facilities managers, architects and project teams.
  • Support project delivery through technical advice and site monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and survey documentation.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
