- Summary
Our client is a specialist façade contractor delivering curtain walling, aluminium windows and doors, rainscreen cladding, architectural glass and balustrading solutions to major UK contractors and developers.
They are seeking an experienced
Document Controller to take ownership of the flow of design and technical information across multiple live projects, ensuring drawings, technical submissions and project documentation are accurately controlled, issued, tracked and archived.
Working closely with design and project teams, you will play a key role in maintaining robust document control procedures and supporting the successful delivery of high-value construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project document portals and Common Data Environments (CDEs), ensuring accurate document control across multiple live projects.
- Maintain drawing registers, document numbering, revision control and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate RFIs, technical queries, technical submissions, sample approvals, O&M manuals and handover documentation.
- Track approvals, monitor outstanding actions and ensure only the latest approved information is issued to project teams, clients and the supply chain.
- Produce document status reports, maintain complete project audit trails and support compliance with ISO 9001 and Building Safety Act requirements.
- Work closely with design, project and commercial teams to ensure information is issued accurately, on time and in line with client requirements.
- Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within Document Control, Technical Administration or a similar role.
- Experience using Asite, Dalux, Procore, Aconex, Viewpoint or similar document management platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, together with the ability to read and navigate technical drawings.
- Excellent organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail and a process-driven approach to document management.
- Experience within construction, façades, glazing, engineering or architectural environments would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other document-controlled industries will also be considered.
- Ability to speak Polish would be beneficial but not essential.
