We are seeking a practical, experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee our aluminium windows and doors production company based in Dartford.
This is a key position within a growing business, ideal for someone who knows how to manage a fabrication workshop effectively—ensuring production targets are met, quality remains high, and operations run smoothly on a daily basis. The role combines hands-on factory involvement with production planning, so it will suit someone who is comfortable being present on the shop floor and leading from the front.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily manufacturing activities including cutting, machining, assembly and glazing
- Coordinate production schedules to meet project deadlines and workload demands
- Monitor and improve quality standards, reducing errors and rework
- Manage stock levels, materials and supplier relationships
- Supervise and organise the fabrication team to maintain productivity
- Ensure all products are fully checked, compliant and ready for dispatch
- Previous experience managing an aluminium windows and doors fabrication operation
- Familiarity with systems such as Schüco, Kestrel, Metal Technology and/or Cortizo
- Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings independently
- Experience producing products to PAS 24 standards
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
- Hands-on approach with a visible presence on the shop floor
- Established supply and install business with consistent workflow
