About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function of its residential windows division. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing key house builder relationships, driving new business and leading the estimating, order processing and technical teams. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will take ownership of commercial performance, pricing strategy and margin growth while ensuring the smooth delivery of projects from tender through to contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen relationships with existing house builder clients.
- Identify, secure and develop new business opportunities.
- Lead and develop the estimating, order processing and technical teams.
- Ensure accurate, competitive tenders and a seamless handover into live contracts.
- Manage pricing strategy, commercial negotiations and margin performance.
- Monitor pipeline activity and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Work closely with senior management to deliver commercial objectives.
- Represent the business professionally at client meetings and industry events.
Candidate Profile
- Commercial management, business development or senior sales experience within the fenestration, glazing or building products sector.
- Experience working with residential house builders.
- A proven track record of developing key accounts and winning new business.
- Experience leading commercial, estimating or technical teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience of pricing, tenders and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced commercial environment.
