The Role

Due to exceptional growth, we have a number of exciting fee earning opportunities up to Senior Associate within our residential property team. We are pleased to offer flexibility in terms of office location as well as hybrid and remote working options. Our residential team cover the full spectrum of residential property law comprising sale and/or purchase of a property or land, re-mortgage, equity release or auction.

  • Caseload Management: Handle diverse residential conveyancing matters, including freehold, leasehold, new builds, shared ownership, transfers, and buy-to-let properties.
  • Legal Advice: Offer clear, practical, and commercially sound legal guidance to clients throughout the property lifecycle.
  • Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, reports on title, and other property-related legal documents.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct property searches, check titles, and prepare client reports.
  • Liaison: Communicate proactively with clients, lenders, estate agents, surveyors, and other professionals to keep transactions moving.
  • Post-Completion: Manage registrations, Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) submissions, and file closure.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.

About You

Working in our Residential Property department, this role would best suit someone who is pro-active and enthusiastic, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. Strong organisational and administrative skills are essential, along with the ability to multi-task and a confident telephone manner. More technical requirements include excellent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office. Ideally you will have experience in a law firm environment providing legal support to fee earners.

Qualification Requirements

Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with practice rights to carry out reserved legal activities or Licenced Conveyancer.
