We have a unique opportunity for a Business Support Assistant to join our Bridport office. We are looking for someone who can provide effective business and legal assistance to senior fee earners within the team, so that they can fulfil their daily client and business responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a first point of contact with clients on all routine matters such as progress updates and enquiries.
- Proactively manage and review fee earner diaries, assisting with appointments and commitments.
- Assist the team with file and matter management.
- Effectively draft client correspondence.
- Assist with credit control and client billing.
- File closure and archiving.
- Responsible for the filing, storage, and correct naming of correspondence and documents on the Peppermint Document Management filing system.
- Document production (to include some typing and amendments).
- Post scanning, and scan copying and collating enclosures.
- Be first point of contact for the central file opening team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Working closely with fee earners in our Bridport office, this role would best suit someone who is pro-active and enthusiastic, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Strong organisational and administrative skills are essential, along with the ability to multi-task and a confident telephone manner. More technical requirements include excellent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook. Ideally you will have experience in a law firm environment providing support to fee earners, but we welcome applications from those who feel they have the right skills and can meet the role requirements.
