What you'll be doing:
- Delivering training sessions, workshops, and seminars on various IT topics to employees at different levels within the organisation.
- Designing and developing training programs and materials to meet the organisations IT training needs.
- Conducting training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop appropriate training solutions.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather and validate training content and materials.
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in order to incorporate relevant information into training programs.
- Providing one-on-one coaching and support to employees who require additional assistance or guidance in IT-related areas.
- Assisting in the implementation and adoption of new technologies by providing training and support to end-users.
- Developing and maintaining training documentation, manuals, and online resources for easy reference and self-guided learning.
- Staying informed about new software releases, updates, and advancements in order to incorporate them into training programs.
What you'll need:
- Strong knowledge and expertise in various IT domains, including but not limited to software applications, hardware, networks, cybersecurity, databases, and cloud computing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to chat with anyone and everyone.
- A real passion for making training the best it can be.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills – you're a master juggler!
- Proficiency in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Demonstrable experience with designing and delivering both in-person and online training programs.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions to technical challenges.
- Ability to adapt training approaches to cater to different learning styles and skill levels.
- Familiarity with training evaluation methods and tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Proficiency in using training software and tools, such as learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and multimedia software.
- A proper eye for detail in all training materials and documentation.
- Formal Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (ITIL).
- Demonstrable experience working as an IT Trainer.
- Certification in instructional design or training methodologies is preferred.
- Industry certifications in relevant IT areas, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
