Procurement – Execution and Performance Manager (EPM)

Base location: Harwell, United Kingdom

Within Thales Alenia Space Procurement organization, we are looking for a dynamic Execution and Performance Manager (EPM) to join our team in the UK. Procurement of products and services within Thales Alenia Space represents about 50% of turnover; therefore supplier competitiveness and operational performance – in terms of on‑time delivery, conformity and quality – are key factors of success.

As a procurement EPM, you will be responsible for leading the relationship with the suppliers once the contract has been put in place by a Category Buyer. You will lead on the management of supplier operational performance in close cooperation with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Quality, Program Management Office). You will ensure that the Supplier rapidly solves critical issues which may be financial/contractual, technical, production, supply chain, etc. You will take a leadership position in anticipating risks and opportunities to delivery. You will take leadership responsibility for negotiating all contractual changes and assessing global supplier performance for your project portfolio.

In this leadership role you will need to perform to deliver all project and supplier goals, demonstrating strong problem solving, communication and project management skills, working in an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure transition of the contract with Procurement during hand‑over, and the effective endorsement of the contract clauses by the Supplier.
  • Lead the relationship with the Supplier throughout the execution of the contract for all matters related to the supplied products (technical, industrial, planning, Quality, contractual).
  • Manage internal and external activities according to the SOW/SOA and the Surveillance Plan.
  • Continuously monitor the contract execution to insure the deliveries and minimize delays and global cost of non‑quality impacts for TAS, ensuring early risk detection and mitigation and quick resolution of emerging problems.
  • Manage Supplier Progress status and challenge all delays to ensure high performance of your project portfolio.
  • At each formal step of the contract (reviews, delivery): ensure the exhaustiveness and conformance of the deliveries with the contractual commitments.
  • Get approval of related delivered documentation, acceptance data, authorize the delivery of the goods and the corresponding invoices.
  • Manage formal reviews all along the contract (KO, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, TRB, DRB – EQSR is managed by Quality).
  • Organize formal material acceptance milestones (MIP).
  • Manage any delegation of authority carefully noting that you will remain accountable for performance.
  • Apply the veto process in case of non‑compliant or incomplete delivery of products, to avoid risks of damage in integration or test.
  • Manage Supplier actions review, follow up and resolution.
  • Manage the Supplier deviations (RFD, RFW); note that NRB management is handled by Quality.
  • Manage change notices by delegation from Procurement.
  • Actively manage the sales forecast of all supplier milestones.
  • Perform the Supplier Performance Assessment and Lessons Learned at contract completion.
  • Evaluate liquidated damages status (if any).

Inputs / Events To Perform The WP

  • Supplier / Product Surveillance plan.
  • Risk and opportunity assessment and analysis.
  • Handover package and minutes (SOW/SOA with their SoCs, Unit Requirement Specification and their SoCs, AD and their SoCs, contract, already held review minutes).
  • Manage relationships with Procurement / Engineering / Quality as assigned on your project portfolio.

Deliveries / Events Resulting From The WP Execution

  • Deliverables according to contractual commitments:
  • KO minutes of meeting, if any.
  • EQSR Forms and Minutes of Meeting.
  • PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, TRB, DRB data package and accurate Minutes of Meeting including actions and follow‑up.
  • Monthly Supplier reports.
  • Hardware delivery to Contract assigned parties.
  • Weekly progress status and reporting, including escalation if required for rapid resolution of issues.
  • Major and significant risks and associated mitigation actions.
  • Veto checklist for incomplete or non‑compliant product delivery.
  • Assessment report at Contract completion.

In line with Thales\’ baseline security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
