We offer a competitive salary of £24,000 per annum, a 37‑hour work week (Monday‑Thursday 8 hrs, Friday 5 hrs, flexible start 07:00‑09:30), 201 hours annual leave, company pension, health care cash plan, life insurance, discount portal, performance pay and 80 hours volunteering per year.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and test engineering solutions following Thales procedures and programme requirements.
- Attend project reviews and contribute to functional & physical system architectures.
- Prepare engineering specifications, interface control documents and test documentation.
- Deliver tasks on time and to required quality, working as a team‑player and seeking guidance where required.
- Develop knowledge and skills within the engineering discipline and effectively communicate engineering issues related to own tasks.
Apprentice Programme
You will study towards a BEng in Electro‑Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham, delivered over five years through a blended learning model that combines on‑campus lectures, online and work‑based learning. You are expected to attend campus for a minimum of four weeks per year, in 1‑week blocks. After completing the programme and the End Point Assessment, you will achieve a fully funded accredited BEng and a Level 6 Electro‑Mechanical Degree Apprenticeship qualification.
Requirements
- Three A‑Levels (BBB) including Mathematics (Citizenship Skills, General Studies and Critical Thinking are not accepted) or BTEC Extended Diploma in an engineering discipline at MMM or above, or Level 3 apprenticeship in a relevant discipline, or an engineering T‑Level at Merit or above.
- Five GCSEs grade A‑C (4‑9), including English and Maths.
- Self‑starter with initiative, ability to manage time, and genuine interest in engineering.
- Permanent right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo Government security clearance at BPSS Level, obtaining full Security Clearance (SC) before commencing employment.
Recruitment Process
Assessments will be held between February and May 2026. The induction week for all graduates and apprentices runs from 7 September to 11 September 2026. Applications close on 12 February 2026 at 11:59 pm. Earlier closure may occur if applications reach capacity.
