We are seeking a highly capable Senior Process Engineer to lead the optimisation, industrialisation, and scaling of manufacturing processes within our manufacturing operation. This hands‑on engineering role focuses on building robust, scalable manufacturing systems in a fast‑paced, highly technical environment. This role requires a strong mechanical and manufacturing engineering foundation, and comfort with high‑level strategy as well as on‑floor troubleshooting. You will play a key role in defining manufacturing standards, implementing lean manufacturing methodologies, selecting and integrating production equipment, and establishing stable, repeatable manufacturing operations.

In addition to process engineering responsibilities, you must actively participate in manufacturing activities, support production output, and lead by example within the engineering team.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes across production operations
  • Characterise and improve process capability using structured engineering methodologies including DOE and statistical analysis
  • Lead process robustness, repeatability, and yield improvement activities
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies across manufacturing operations
  • Identify and define critical process parameters, control strategies, and process limits
  • Lead technical troubleshooting and root‑cause investigations across equipment and manufacturing systems
  • Support the design, build, and implementation of process rigs, fixtures, and manufacturing systems
  • Specify, evaluate, and procure high‑value manufacturing equipment and production systems
  • Work closely with suppliers and integrators through FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation activities
  • Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs, PFMEAs, validation protocols, and engineering standards
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance strategy implementation, and process validation activities
  • Support transfer of processes into stable, repeatable manufacturing operations
  • Participate directly in manufacturing activities and production builds when required
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, setting high engineering and operational standards through hands‑on leadership
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong experience in manufacturing process engineering within industrial, advanced manufacturing, medtech, automotive, aerospace, or regulated environments
  • Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of DOE, process capability analysis, and structured problem‑solving methodologies
  • Experience selecting, specifying, and implementing manufacturing equipment in controlled or regulated environments
  • Strong hands‑on engineering capability with the ability to troubleshoot directly on manufacturing systems and equipment
  • Experience working with PFMEA, root cause analysis, validation, and engineering change control
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment and supporting production activities directly when required

Desirable

  • Experience designing custom manufacturing equipment, fixtures, or process rigs
  • Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement training
  • Experience with automation, PLC‑controlled equipment, or semi‑automated manufacturing systems
  • Experience within highly controlled manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with commissioning, FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ, or equipment qualification activities
  • CAD or mechanical design experience beneficial

This is a hands‑on engineering role within a growing manufacturing team where you will have direct influence over how manufacturing systems are implemented, improved, and scaled. We are looking for someone who combines strong engineering fundamentals with practical manufacturing execution, leadership by example, and a continuous improvement mindset.
