We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to support the day‑to‑day running of the finance function in a growing startup. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop their skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase invoices (AP) and ensuring timely approvals
  • Managing supplier payments and weekly payment runs
  • Posting and reconciling credit cards and expenses
  • Supporting bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow
  • Assisting with month‑end processes (accruals, prepayments, journals)
  • Maintaining accurate records in the finance system currently Xero but transitioning to Sage Intacct
  • Supporting expenses processing and payroll administration (if required)
  • Helping improve finance processes as the business scales

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a similar Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant role
  • Good understanding of AP/AR processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Comfortable using Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage)
  • Proactive, reliable, and willing to get stuck in
  • Studying AAT (or interested in starting) is a plus
