We are looking for a Project Manager to join our successful sales team in York, with national travel required.

Your skills as a Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification, to budget and to the satisfaction of the customer, contributing to our continued business growth.

Role Details:
  • Annual Salary of up to 50,000 depending on skills and experience, plus potential annual-on-target bonus of up to 10% subject to business performance
  • Role based: Huntington, York, YO32 9PT with national travel
  • Permanent
  • Company car
  • Eligible to join Private Medical Scheme
  • Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.
  • Full UK driving licence, due to travel requirements.

In this role you will be required to:

  • Take full project management responsibility for allocated projects, ensuring safe delivery on time, to specification, to budget and to customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver project objectives.
  • Maintain or improve project margins and positive cash flow through effective planning and budget management and compliance with company project delivery processes.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, maintaining an up-to-date risk register.
  • Support bid and pre-construction activity as required, contributing project delivery expertise.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are consistently met.
  • Produce reports and updates for stakeholders, including analysis of progress against programme, costs and key milestones.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Project management qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in managing projects with demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of contractual and financial control in project delivery, cost management, and negotiating terms and settlement of final accounts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues during project delivery.
  • Ability to produce clear and accurate reports and analysis for stakeholders.
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety, with confidence to challenge or raise concerns on site.
  • Confidence working on active CDM construction sites (the role is not purely office based).
  • Comfortable working around heavy plant and logistics, including cranes, HIABs, and abnormal load lorries.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and site activities.
  • Ability to review drawings, and manage installation sequences.
