We have a great opportunity for you to join our Portakabin team as a Procurement Category Planner within our Procurement department. The role involves supporting Category Managers/Procurement Managers on specific categories, projects, and procurement programs, focusing on market research, risk assessment, supplier evaluation, sourcing, contract management, RFX/ITT processes, and pricing.

Responsibilities include creating a sustainable supply base, developing existing supplier relationships, monitoring supplier compliance, and supporting procurement strategies. This role is part of a succession plan with targeted learning and development to enhance skills within the department.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Assess opportunities within nominated categories to develop strategic plans.
  2. Build relationships with key suppliers and conduct review meetings.
  3. Perform supplier evaluations and compliance checks.
  4. Manage pricing and cost analysis, including variance analysis.
  5. Handle RFI, RFP, and ITT processes for categories.
  6. Support market research on new suppliers and industry trends.
  7. Input pricing data into SAP and resolve related queries.
  8. Identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities.
  9. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.

Candidate requirements include experience in procurement, category management, or related fields, strong organization skills, experience with SAP/ERP systems, and the ability to travel within the UK & Ireland (30-40%). A full UK driving license is desirable.
