Role: Major Accounts Manager – National Role
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000, plus company car – OTE £60,000 – £70,000, with commission
Location: National Role with a local office base
We are seeking a Major Accounts Manager to cover England, Wales, and Scotland to drive the commercial performance of the Major Accounts associated with Portakabin (Site Accommodation) Ltd.
You will be proactive and hands-on, combining technical product knowledge with business development, relationship building, and solution-based selling to a range of roles within the selected Major Account client base.
This will be supported by a range of tools and media content to understand current and future needs for winning business in the competitive construction accommodation sector.
As a national role, there is a requirement to travel to meet client demands and attend internal meetings. With offices across England, Wales, and Scotland, you will be provided with a local office location with flexibility for home working, subject to client and company requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Achieving hire order targets and other KPIs
- Implementing and executing a structured account management plan to maintain and grow existing Major Account clients
- Conducting structured business development activities with major construction companies
- Participating in business development initiatives and marketing campaigns
- Preparing quotations and drawings, following up, and negotiating to secure orders
- Developing internal and external customer relationships and promoting teamwork and communication
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and offering technical advice on rules and regulations, including fire safety

- Major Account / Key Account experience (highly desirable)
- Business-to-business sales experience in the construction hire sector

- Good commercial awareness and customer focus
- IT literacy, including CRM systems
- Full UK driving license
