We are excited to present a rare opportunity for an Installations Operative to join our successful team in Donabate, Dublin to assist in the day-to-day duties of the Projects Department.

Role Details:

  • Salary: 45,000
  • Role: Installations Operative + Company Van / Tools Supplied
  • Location: Roseville Business Park, Turvey Avenue, Donabate, Co.Dublin, K36 K759
  • Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays
  • A full Irish driving licence is required as you will be travelling nationally with this role

The successful candidate will provide support to the existing installation team and the Site Manager/Project Manager. You will also have the opportunity to learn new skills in a site management role, so when the Site Manager is not present you can step in and cover. You will have the opportunity to complete site visits around the Munster region alongside the Site Manager. This role is varied and when times are quiet you will get involved in many activities from site visits, working in the yard to acting as the Site Manager in their absence. There is great opportunity for career progression within Portakabin.

In this role you will be required to:

  • Operate offsite, working independently or as part of a team, in the maintenance, modification (fit out, carpentry), installation and removal of units throughout Ireland.
  • Undertake operations, as instructed, in yard, store and on site in accordance with Health and Safety standards.
  • Provide assistance to the Head of Projects/Installation Manager in identifying the materials and timescales involved in completing individual contracts.
  • In the absence of the Head of Projects/Installation Manager ensure that the customer is fully informed on the status of their contract.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment in yard, regional depots and on site.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment and company vehicles in good and clean working condition.

Essential Requirements:

  • Practical operational experience ideally within a multi-trade construction environment
  • Multi-trade experience including carpentry work and metal work
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Educated to Leaving Cert standard or equivalent
  • Health and Safety experience in a construction environment
  • A recognised Trade qualification is highly desirable
  • Good level of numeracy/literacy
