Strategically located at Junction 41 and 42 of the M4 and the end of the A465, Portacover is well-placed to meet the diverse needs of its clients. With extensive experience in handling everything from planning to project completion, Portacover offers a seamless, full-service approach. Whether it’s a major turnkey project, equipment relocation, or specialized crane hire, the team is committed to excellence and prioritises client satisfaction.
This is for a full‑time role for a Machinery Movement Specialist based in Port Talbot. We are looking to recruit someone with experience or trainee, to join our team and learn all aspects of lifting equipment, Compact cranes, Forklift and MEWP operating. Ideally the applicant will be mechanically minded and have mechanical skills and knowledge, be hard working, flexible and be willing to work weekends when required, to meet our customers' needs.
A variety of roles would need to be carried out daily to strict health and safety procedures and RAMS including:
- Spider crane operations
- Versalift Operations
- Forklift operations
- Jacking and skating
- Loading and unloading of customers' machinery and equipment
The following skills would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided for the successful applicant over time:
- Relevant skills & experience within the lifting industry
- HGV C+E
- Lorry Loader Crane
- A full UK driving licence
The above would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided for the right minded individual. Normal working hours are 07:30 - 16:00 but must be flexible for early starts and late finishes.
