Port Vale is looking for a casual Foundation Development Phase Coach to coach and develop players mainly in the Foundation Phase (U8-U11).
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Coaching and Youth Phase Lead Coach, you will deliver a high-quality coaching programme in line with the club's philosophy and performance plan across its training venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Lead Foundation Phase Coach to develop players aged 8-11
- Monitor and assess players, keeping records up to date on the FIP
- Coach and manage an assigned age group, liaising with parents
- Give playing opportunities to all squad players and trialists
- Support scouting and recruitment at grassroots fixtures and events
- Take part in CPD, parent evenings and player reviews
About You
- UEFA C Licence and working towards UEFA B Licence
- FA age-appropriate coaching certification
- Current enhanced DBS check
- Experience with the 8-11 age group
- Safeguarding and first aid qualifications
- Desirable: FA Youth Modules or FA Youth Award
