We are looking for a motivated and organised Transport / Traffic Planner to join our growing operations team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience in transport planning who is looking to develop their career in a fast‑paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate daily work for drivers and vehicles
- Monitor operations and adjust schedules in real time
- Communicate with drivers and provide clear instructions
- Manage VBS and port bookings
- Update customer and port portals accurately
- Create and update jobs within the system
- Assist in sourcing and planning backloads
- Ensure efficient vehicle utilisation and minimise empty running
- Collect and process Proof of Delivery (POD) documents
- Ensure all paperwork is complete and uploaded on time
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in transport / traffic planning
- Basic understanding of UK transport operations
- Experience with port/container work or VBS systems (preferred)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Good IT skills
