The Port of Nigg is a premier energy industry facility located in the sheltered waters of the Cromarty Firth, with direct access to the North Sea. Renowned for its world-class multi-sector capabilities, the port provides comprehensive turnkey solutions to clients in the international energy sector. As Scotland's largest port facility in the Moray Firth, it boasts extensive construction and assembly shops, a large dry dock, and over 1,135 meters of deep-water quayside. The Port of Nigg also serves as a key hub for supporting the renewables industry with excellent storage, logistics, and laydown capabilities, backed by a skilled multi-disciplinary workforce.

We are entering an exciting period of growth, and we want you to join our expanding team as an IT Applications Engineer becoming an integral part of a dynamic organisation, that’s shaping the future of energy solutions. In this role you will be responsible for the integrity, maintenance and optimisation of ERP systems to support business operations. You will ensure that our ERP application aligns with organisational goals, improves efficiency and integrates seamlessly with other business systems. The role will also cover all applications and reporting tools utilised by the business and so an understanding of Microsoft applications and Power platforms will be a distinct advantage. This is an office-based role with occasional travel to other sites.

Key Accountabilities

  • Configure, maintain and support ERP applications.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within ERP systems.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards and analytics to support decision making.
  • Manage own time effectively.
  • Adhere to IT and Group Policies and Procedures.
  • Travel to other sites as required to facilitate an effective service which may include contractor, supplier or customer sites.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in ERP system administration, configuration and support.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or similar.
  • A strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team and willing to take on all aspects of the role.
  • A full and valid UK driving license.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the energy and maritime industries.
  • A desire to progress and learn new technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and react to changing deadlines.

This role is based on site and can be operated out of either our Port of Nigg facility, by Tain (IV19) or out of our Aberdeen facility (AB11).
