Would you enjoy being part of a vibrant team dedicated to making a difference? We are currently looking for a Small Works Coordinator to join our busy team in Dover!

As a Small Works Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating external contractors for inspections, compliance testing, and planned maintenance of a variety of engineering assets, such as high mast lighting, barriers, and overhead gantry cranes. You will also be responsible for planning work orders for necessary remedial work, arranging site visits, and overseeing contractors to guarantee that all tasks are completed safely and to compliance standards. Additionally, you will track work orders using scheduling software and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to align inspection and maintenance efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate external contractors for inspections, compliance testing, and planned maintenance of engineering assets (e.g., high mast lighting, barriers, overhead gantry cranes).
  • Plan work orders for remedial work, arrange site visits, and supervise contractors to ensure tasks are completed safely and in compliance with standards.
  • Track work orders using scheduling software and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to align inspection and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a technical or trade discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a technical field such as civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, inspections, or maintenance planning.
  • Relevant health & safety certification (IOSH, SMSTS, SSSTS, or similar is desirable).
  • Strong understanding of risk management and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, with experience in scheduling tools being advantageous.
