Job summary


Working across the engineering Capital Delivery team and the business, this role will be responsible for the early project development designs informing cost analysis and feasibility studies.
You will develop the RIBA 2 master plan drawings and scenario plans across the port\'s estate, providing updates to these and clash detection across multiple development schemes. You will look to achieve efficiencies across the early design development remit to deliver these services across an ever-increasing value of capital works. The role will be required to engage across the Port of Dover organisation, specifically with port operational business units, Contracts and Procurement, Engineering and the Asset Management Team. You be responsible for the development of 3D Models of our critical assets to improve our ability to scope works, minimise time to market for work packs in projects, and reduce risks when contracting works to the market.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in construction and the built environment - Civils or Surveying
  • Level 3 fundamentals of BIM
  • Extensive recent experience of CAD design and the BIM environment
  • Construction Project background
  • Advanced knowledge of 3D modelling
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of architectural and engineering processes
  • In-depth knowledge of Document and Drawing numbering systems and the relevant British and International Standards inclusive of ISO19650
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications to include: Word, Excel (advance level) and Outlook
  • You must be an effective communicator, good at managing large data sets, implement change and champion Project and Asset Management as a vital business competency to a wide audience
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
