Job summary
As a Police Officer working for the Port of Dover, you will work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to provide an open, safe and secure environment for the Port Community. You must be a person who thrives on challenges and be willing to work hard to learn the skills necessary to perform this critically important role. This will be working a shift pattern of days and nights.
Experience required
β Be able to deliver on Policing priorities, discharge the responsibilities of a Police Officer whilst contributing to the commercial success of the Port of Dover
β Be able to deliver on the vision of the Port of Dover with other strategic partners within the Port environment through effective partnership working
β You will be allocated portfolios of responsibility to ensure efficient working practices in support of the Police Force and the commercial interests of the Port of Dover
β Be able to achieve vetting to SC level
Skills and Qualifications
- To have successfully completed your probationary period
- Or have been a serving Police officer within the RAF, Army or Navy having served within the last 12 months
- Experience of Policing in crowded spaces and / or a counter terrorism protective security background is desirable
- You must be innovative to undertake advanced planning and subsequent delivery
- You must be driven by a desire to break new ground and succeed with your team
- You must be able to demonstrate creativity, energy and problem-solving abilities
- The above skills and qualifications are essential elements of this role

Salary: Up to Β£46,245 DOE
All offers of employment are subject to us obtaining satisfactory references (covering all education, training, employment and unemployment in the preceding 5 years) and there will be a pre-employment medical including a Drug and Alcohol test. We need to satisfy your Right to Work in the UK.
