The Role Duties will be to supervise our Stevedoring operations during stowage & unloading of vessels, general operations within the port warehousing. Therefore, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to keep your team motivated, focused and performing to the very highest standards. It is envisaged that the successful individuals will become part of our flexible workforce & learn all parts of the operations to enable them to work in other areas of the business where necessary. Experience of heavy lifting operations and working at height would be advantageous. The Port operates seven days per week including night shift & Bank Holidays; therefore, you will need to be flexible to suit the needs of the business. Our business is located across five sites, so a full driving license is essential.

  • Starting salary £33k rising to £36k after training for 37.5 hours per week

Port of Blyth is the port operating division of Blyth Harbour Commission, an independent statutory trust established in 1882. It is one of the largest Trust Port’s in the UK handling cargo across four terminals based around the River Blyth. Other trade handled includes containers, dry bulks (coal, aggregates, cement etc.) and marine fuels.
