As the Vehicle Planning, Transport and Contracts Lead, you will oversee the full operational and performance management of UK finished vehicle logistics. This includes all key activities such as UK port vehicle handling, customs processes, inland delivery and PDI centre operations. You will be accountable for managing strong internal and external stakeholder relationships across both new and used vehicle logistics, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the supply chain. You will also hold overall responsibility for the PCGB transit damage process, including the effective management of the local damage‑handling contract and the delivery of robust, efficient resolution standards.
Responsibilities
- Raise and check POs; manage budgets and supplier disputes
- Support annual budget planning and cost control
- Reconcile invoices with Finance (monthly-annual)
- Report SLAs across all required cycles
- Align short‑term capacity with sales KPIs
- Coordinate PDI throughput and urgent vehicle movements
- Own PCGB damage claims and Sevatas submissions
- Deliver monthly finished‑vehicle damage reporting
- Lead projects to reduce UK logistics damage
- Produce key departmental reports (customs, Jersey COE, ad‑hoc invoices, PPN updates, ETA reports, credit limits, compliance)
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in vehicle data administration within an automotive environment
- Strong working knowledge of Vehicle Management Systems (PVMS) or comparable OEM configuration/order systems
- Proven experience in overseeing intricate contractual relationships, managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- High accuracy and detail focus
Desirable
- Premium or luxury automotive experience
- Vehicle logistics/order planning exposure
- System training experience
