Porsche Retail Group (PRG) have an excellent opportunity for an MOT Tester / Tyre Fitter to work for one of the world’s most iconic brands and join Porsche Centre Hatfield. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting MOT tests in accordance with DVSA guidelines for the Porsche Centre’s customers. In addition, you will be fitting, balancing and repairing tyres efficiently and safely. This is a dual skilled role, requiring attention to detail, a customer focused attitude and commitment to safety and compliance. Responsibilities: MOT Testing Duties: Carrying out MOT tests on Class 4 vehicles in accordance with DVSA standards Accurately completing MOT documentation and record keeping Identifying faults and defects, and providing accurate advice on repair options to the Service Advisor or Customer directly Maintaining a clean and safe testing environment in line with health and safety standards Ensuring compliance with DVSA testing procedures and Company guidelines at all times Tyre Fitting Duties: Removing, repairing, and replacing tyres for the full range of Porsche vehicles Carrying out wheel balancing and alignment where required Inspecting tyre tread depth, wear patterns, and valve condition Advising the Service Advisors or customers directly on tyre safety and replacement needs Ensuring all equipment and tools are in good working order Minimum Qualifications: Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Fitting Principles or a Level 2 Diploma in Specialist Tyre Fitting Competence or equivalent qualification MI Level 2 Award in MOT Testing 21 years of age and held a Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years (for insurance purposes) Strong mechanical understanding and diagnostic skills Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Commitment to health and safety best practices Preferred Qualifications: IT Literacy including Microsoft packages and Dealer Management Systems Previous experience in a franchised automotive dealership Good communication and customer service skill Porsche Retail Group are committed to promoting a culture that champions diversity and equal opportunities.
