In this dual role, you will be responsible for conducting MOT tests in line with DVSA standards, ensuring vehicles meet safety, environmental and Porsche’s requirements. You will need to be able to identify vehicle faults, advising the Service Team of necessary repairs required and ensure exemplary record keeping. When not carrying out MOTs you will support the Workshop Team by fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on the full range of Porsche vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- MOT Testing
- Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations and Porsche guidelines
- Accurately document test results and issue MOT certificates
- Identify and advise on repairs or maintenance required for MOT compliance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized MOT testing area
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated and maintained as required
- Ensure excellent customer service, by explaining results in a clear and professional manner to the Service Team for onward communication to customers
- Keep up to date with MOT regulations and testing procedures
- Tyre Fitting
- Remove, inspect, repair, and replace tyres in line with Porsche guidelines
- Balance wheels and align vehicle steering where required
- Check tyre pressures and tread depth, advising the Service Team on replacements when necessary for onward communication to customers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work bay
- Assist with stock control of tyres and related parts where necessary
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Qualified MOT Tester (Level 3 qualification or equivalent)
- DVSA-approved MOT tester license
- Good knowledge of vehicle systems and safety standards
- Previous experience in tyre fitting
- Good knowledge of tyre types, fitting techniques, and safety procedures
- Ability to use tyre fitting and balancing equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a luxury franchise dealership
- Knowledge and understanding of dealer management systems and MS Office suite
- Experience in vehicle servicing

- A basic salary of up to £36,000 dependant on experience
- Fixed hours each week - Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis from 8.00am to 1.00pm.
