As a Porsche General Sales Manager (GSM), you will oversee all aspects of new and pre‑owned vehicle sales, leading a high‑performing team while upholding the brand’s heritage of performance, exclusivity, and exceptional customer experience. You will drive revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies, aligning departmental activities with the company’s overall objectives, and collaborating closely with other departments to optimise operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead all new and pre‑owned vehicle sales operations to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Motivate, manage, and develop a high‑performing sales team aligned with Porsche brand values.
- Set and monitor individual and team KPIs, providing coaching and regular performance reviews.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for new and used car performance and revenue growth.
- Ensure full utilisation of PRG sales systems, including accurate lead management and compliance with R‑ICS and UK regulations.
- Oversee vehicle inventory, stock mix, ordering, presentation standards, and aging unit management.
- Maintain strict compliance with FCA requirements, consumer protection laws, and Porsche operating standards.
- Deliver regular team training on Porsche products, processes, customer engagement, and brand standards.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new starters, ensuring timely completion of all mandatory training.
- Collaborate with the Centre Principal and Financial Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Review sales data, market trends, and KPIs to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure a premium, luxury customer experience across the entire sales journey, including test drives, configurations, and handovers.
- Resolve escalated customer issues professionally and in line with Porsche customer service standards.
- Build strong cross‑departmental relationships with Aftersales, Parts, Marketing, and other PRG Centres to drive performance.
- Act as a brand ambassador at Centre events, customer escalations, and VIP handovers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Proven experience in guiding, driving and developing a sales team in the automotive industry
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs in a competitive environment.
- Consistent ability to deliver outstanding customer service
- Proficiency with Dealer Management Systems
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working within a luxury, prestige automotive environment
- Familiar with the Porsche products
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations, consumer law, and compliance processes in a retail automotive setting
- Experience implementing coaching, training, or development programmes for sales teams

Porsche Centre West London is our largest Centre in the south of England and soon to be the largest aftersales facility for Porsche globally. Our Centre is divided over 2 locations. Our main Centre conveniently located on the A4 and just a short walk from the vibrant Chiswick High Road, with free staff parking just a short walk away or Gunnersbury Tube or Chiswick Park Station are within a 15-minute walk. We have a dedicated satellite after‑sales service near Kew, easily accessible from the A4 with onsite parking.
