Headquartered in Reading alongside Porsche Cars GB Ltd, Porsche Retail Group (PRG) operates several Porsche Centres, Service Centres, and a Trade Parts Distribution Centre in and around London and the South-East. As a Used Car Buyer, reporting to the Used Car Manager within the Group Sales Operations Department, you will work to achieve pre-owned targets by making considered purchases that optimize stock levels, model mix, and pricing, using data reporting and your network of trade contacts.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and purchasing Porsche vehicles via trade contacts and private sellers
- Ensuring purchases meet standards through the appraisal process to drive profitability
- Repatriating vehicles to appropriate Porsche Centres within the group
- Building relationships with Centre Management Teams to secure reliable supply and understand customer demand
- Staying informed about current market conditions, including pricing and demand
Minimum Requirements
- Full Driving License
- Experience in a car buying role, preferably in a luxury automotive retail setting
- Proven negotiation and communication skills
- Strong financial and accounting knowledge
- Expertise in car market trends, makes, models, and pricing
