As the Group Facilities - Advisor, Environment, you will provide essential day‑to‑day support to the Porsche team on all environmental matters, helping to uphold our ISO 14001:2015 certification and drive progress toward our CO₂ net‑zero target for 2030. Your enthusiasm for sustainability and your ability to communicate clearly will be central to raising awareness across the business, supporting internal reporting, and helping to embed meaningful environmental initiatives. We will collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation and work alongside experienced external advisors and suppliers to ensure we stay ahead of evolving legislation and continue to strengthen our environmental performance as a global brand. Services are provided to the Porsche Cars Great Britain (PCGB) and Porsche Retail Group (PRG) sites in the UK. The ISO 14001:2015 certification is for the site at Reading, where the role is based. THIS IS A 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Porsche team to take over the running of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and associated activities, in particular any open audit actions or live initiatives.
  • Conduct regular site walkarounds, waste checks, spill‑kit inspections, and incident reporting, documenting findings and supporting colleagues with follow‑up actions.
  • Support EMS audits, including ISO 14001 recertification, audit preparation, and corrective‑action tracking.
  • Assist with maintaining EMS policies and procedures, updating processes, managing intranet documentation, and preparing data for the Annual Management Review.
  • Provide technical input to waste tenders, oversee waste contracts, update the Waste Register, and close out actions from site walkarounds.
  • Manage quarterly environmental data collection, quality review, supplier coordination, and annual submissions through internal reporting systems.
  • Contribute to ESG assessments, submit required data, issue quarterly sustainability surveys, manage responses, and participate in ESG assessment calls.
  • Support environmental readiness and ongoing operational checks for new sites, ensuring compliance and consistent standards.
  • Work with Procurement and supply‑chain teams on sustainability actions, tracking progress and providing technical input on supplier sustainability.
  • Plan and coordinate Environmental Working Group sessions, develop materials, facilitate knowledge sharing, and support wider environmental events and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Practical knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and its implementation.
  • Managed ISO 14001 in a corporate setting, ideally automotive.
  • Technical knowledge of the environmental standard.
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability or similar qualification.
  • Clear, positive, confident in presenting and engaging others.
  • Skilled in prioritising tasks, updating documents, and preparing reports.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Understanding of upcoming standard changes in ISO 14001:2026.
  • Genuine interest supported by training or certification.
  • Builds relationships easily and works well across teams.
  • Confident with Excel and PowerPoint for data and presentations.
