Job Summary

The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we’d love for you to be a part of it as our Director, People Experience (HRBP Team). As a strategic leader within our People Team, you will oversee Porch’s global HR Business Partner (HRBP) operations across the United States, India, and Mexico. This role is integral to fostering a positive and inclusive employee experience within our distributed work environment. You will drive people strategies that align with organizational goals, ensure seamless collaboration across regions, and build a cohesive culture that supports employee engagement and development worldwide. By leading a high-performing HRBP team, you will directly contribute to Porch’s success by shaping workplace practices, supporting talent growth, and elevating the overall employee experience.

What You Will Do As A Director, People Experience

  • Develop and lead the implementation of people experience strategies that align with organizational objectives and foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture across all regions.
  • Act as a culture steward, embodying and championing Porch’s core company values in every aspect of your work.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, providing expert guidance on organizational design, talent management, change initiatives, and workforce planning.
  • Lead and manage the HR Business Partner team, ensuring effective people management practices, clear goal setting, impactful coaching, and professional development.
  • Oversee key people programs, including employee engagement surveys, performance management cycles, and the Great Place to Work survey, leveraging insights to enhance the employee experience.
  • Drive initiatives that boost employee engagement, development, and retention, including feedback programs and career growth opportunities.
  • Analyze people data and organizational metrics to assess trends, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend evidence-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure people programs are aligned with business priorities and support the integration of culture across distributed teams.
  • Champion inclusion and belonging initiatives to cultivate an environment where all employees feel valued and empowered.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, promoting fair, consistent practices in line with company values and policies, as well as alignment with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Serve in a player-coach capacity, directly supporting a designated client group while mentoring the broader HRBP team.
  • Stay informed on best practices, regulatory changes, and industry trends to proactively recommend enhancements to people experience programs and policies.

What You Will Bring As A Director, People Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • 15+ years’ progressive experience in employee experience, HR business partnership, or related HR leadership roles (required).
  • Previous experience in the insurance sector is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, with a track record of driving employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience working in global environments and collaborating across multiple regions; global HR experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Human Resources) or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) (preferred).
  • Experience with Mexico HR practices and regulations is a strong bonus.
  • Previous experience leading an HR org in a public company environment is preferred.
  • Preference for candidates based in Washington State or the Pacific Time Zone.
  • Strategic leadership, team management, and project/program management skills.
  • Analytical acumen with proficiency in people data and organizational metrics.
  • Expertise in change management, communication, collaboration, and influence.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Advanced employee relations expertise and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • High emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member

Pay Range*: $168,800 – $236,300 USD annually

Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.

Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.

You will also be eligible to receive an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, subject to program guidelines and approvals
