We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quantity surveying within the M&E sector, on industrial process plants. They will play a key role in managing costs and contractual agreements for our projects, ensuring profitability and compliance with industry standards.
- Cost Management: Oversee all cost management aspects of projects, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contract Administration: Manage contract agreements and negotiations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and minimizing risks. Coordinate procurement activities, including tendering, supplier selection, and contract awards, while ensuring value for money and adherence to project specifications.
- Commercial Management: Monitor project financial performance, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them. Provide accurate and timely financial reports to project stakeholders.
- Variations and Claims: Assess and manage variations and claims, negotiating settlements where necessary and maintaining accurate records.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to junior members of the quantity surveying team, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance standards.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field is desirable but qualification through experience is welcomed. Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the M&E sector, ideally with specific experience in the nuclear and water industries. Proven track record of successfully managing costs and contracts for complex projects, delivering them on time and within budget. Strong understanding of contractual agreements, procurement processes, and commercial management principles. Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Excel and project management software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment, with the flexibility to work remotely when necessary.
