Main Tasks:
- Provide visible and active leadership and promote the integration of good QH&S and Process Safety Management with business decisions.
- Seek to ensure compliance with the Company’s QH&S, Process Safety and Major Accident Prevention Policies, relevant legislation, regulatory guidance and industry good practice.
- Drive the continuous improvement of the organisation in both process safety and personal safety performance to reduce the risk of injury, illness or loss of life, adverse impact on the environment and local community, loss of property and productivity, and damage to company reputation.
- Seek to ensure that the organisation fulfils its obligations as an Operator of two Upper Tier COMAH facilities.
- Seek to ensure that all aspects of the Quality Management System (work processes, standards and procedures) are implemented and maintained.
- Establish and maintain effective channels for communication and co-operation with employees, neighbours, emergency services, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain oversight of key Risk Control System elements.
- Provide clear direction and support both within the EH&S Department and across the wider organisation.
- Manage and maintain effective Emergency Response and Security arrangements.
